water of crystallization is the fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of salt which are physically attached .the activity to show the water of crystallization is the heating of copper sulphate crystals .
activity:
take a small amount of copper sulphate crystals in a test tube
and heat them
observations:
copper sulphate crystals with seem to be dry contain water of crystallization when we heat the crystals this water is removed and the salt turns white .
but if you're most in the crystals again with water you will find that blue colour of crystals reappears .
