It means that your partner is someone who may not treat you well at times, might abuse you, make you sad but then he/she always makes up for it by being good. However, this is all just for a while and then the same things happen again. As in that good phase is all just a lie. You however see only that phase when you see your relationship and that is what you love more than anything, even more than the hatred for all the bad times. It is like all of the bad times didn't exist at all. Everything put in one sentence is 'Love the way you lie.
