Dam :-
A Dam is a barrier constructed in streams or rivers to obstruct or control the flow of water and raise its level, creating a reservoir or a lake.
Some Dams form by natural processes like earthquakes, landslides or glacial ice. But Dams we're most familiar with are built on purpose by humans.
Advantages of dams. :-
the dams were called temples of India and multi-purpose projects by pandit Jawaharlal Nehru because it was used for many useful purposes.
eg irrigation ,domestic and drinking purposes ,for producing hydro-electricity.
