as we may know that he was have a huge amount of water flowing through them and almost all the words have a very large velocity of water which flows every second through their way. most of these most of these rivers have a very high velocity which requires to be controlled as it can result in this can end in disastrous consequences too.


dams are certain kinds of embankments built over rivers to control the flow of water and to check the velocity some dams also have spindles and wheels which rotates with the flow of water and generate electricity.

this electricity is in the form of hydropower which can be used in our houses and for common electricity uses and the general purpose of making dams is checked the flow of water and to control the velocity so that they don't enter certain places.

in addition to the dams are the also used to generate electricity through hydropower.
