A Dangling Bond is the Unsatisfactory combing power or Valence on an Immobile Atom.

When Atoms possess very few bondage partners to fulfil their Octet and get Stable, they are known as 'Free Radicals.'

When such a free Radical, unable to form Covalent Bonds, exist in an Immobile environment, it is known as an immobilized free radical or a Dangling Bond.

They are extremely Reactive and have some kinetic potential.

In chemistry, the dangling bond is an unsatisfied valence on an immobilized atom.

thanks.
