Answer:

The light reaction takes place in the thylakoid discs. There, water (H20) is oxidized, and oxygen (O2) is released. The electrons freed up from water are transfered to ATP and NADPH. The dark reaction occurs outside of the thylakoids. In this reaction, the energy from ATP and NADPH are used to fix carbon dioxide (CO2).

both the reactions take place in the leaves of the plant during photosynthesis.

Light reaction is the process of photosynthesis that converts energy from the sun into chemical energy in the form of NADPH and ATP.

dark reaction. Any of the chemical reactions that take place during the second stage of photosynthesis and do not require light. here energy is released from ATP

hope this helps!!
