Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as a government By the people, Of the people and For the people.

◾ In democracy all citizens are considered equal before law.

◾ In a democracy constitution is considered as the supreme power of the country.

◾ There are regual, free and fair elections.

◾ There must be some limits on government sets by the constitution.

◾ In a democracy there are some fundamental right granted to every citizen equally by the constitution of a country and their violation is a punishable offence.
