$\textbf{Democracy :}$ It is a form of government in which citizens have right to choose their representatives and final decision making power resides with those who are elected by the citizens of the country.

Abraham Lincoln defined democracy as a government By the people, Of the people and For the people.

◾ In democracy all citizens are considered equal before law.

◾ In a democracy constitution is considered as the supreme power of the country.

◾ There are regual, free and fair elections.

◾ There must be some limits on government sets by the constitution.

◾ In a democracy there are some fundamental right granted to every citizen equally by the constitution of a country and their violation is a punishable offence.
