Our political system needs rapid transformation. The political turmoil faced today, coupled with the rise of populism, is a consequence of the rise of seemingly elitist politics along with marginalisation of the voices of the socially disadvantaged. Changing this requires reforms along three lines: campaign financing, electoral reform and legislative reforms.
