It is by the people, to the people and for the people.

It is important to provide fair and equal opportunities to all the citizens of the country irrespective of their caste, gender, religion, race etc. It ensures that the ruling government is elected by the public and everyone is happy by them. It is more accountable form of government. It provides a method to correct it's own mistakes. Hence it is the best form of government.
