Isentropic means no change in entropy ( ). An adiabatic process is a process with no heat transfer ( ). We defined for reversible processes . So generally an adiabatic process is not necessarily isentropic -- only if the process is reversible and adiabatic we can call it isentropic.

i think you are trying to ask about adiabatic process. it is a process in which boundaries of the vessel in which there is gas is perfectly insulating and hence no heat change become possible.


reversible process is a process which takes a lot of time to occur and heat can  be transported from vessel to outside and vice versa.
