What is diff b/w orbit and orbital ???? : )

An orbit is a fixed path of an electron around the nucleus of an atom while an orbital is a region in three-dimensional space where the probability of finding the electron is maximum.


The maximum no. of electrons in an orbit is 2n2 while the maximum no. of electrons in an orbital is 2.
