Ans:  It is defined as the average mass of the element in isotopic forms. It is calculated using the relative abundance of isotopes in a naturally-occurring element.
Example:
Average atomic mass of chlorine is calculated from the isotopic masses of chlorine and their percent of availability.
Chlorine is available mainly in two isotopic form: 3517Cl and 3717Cl.
Percentage of availability of 3517Cl = 75
Percentage of availability of 3717Cl = 25
Average atomic mass of Chlorine =
= (atomic mass of 3517Cl * (% of 3517Cl) + atomic mass of 3717Cl * (%of 717Cl))/ 100
= [(35*75) + (37*25)]/100
= (2625 +925)/100
= 3550/100
= 35.5
This average mass is taking as mass of chlorine.

Molecular mass:
The sum of the atomic masses of all the atoms in a molecule of a substance is called the molecular mass of the molecule.

Molecular mass - calculation: Generally we use relative atomic masses of atoms for calculating the molecular mass of 1 mole of any molecular or ionic substances.
Example: Molecular mass of HNO3
Atomic mass of Hydrogen = 1
Atomic mass of Nitrogen = 14
Atomic mass of oxygen = 16
Molecular mass of HNO3 = 1*(Atomic mass of Hydrogen) + 1* (Atomic mass of Nitrogen) + 3* (Atomic mass of oxygen)
 = (1×1) + (1*14) + (3× 16)
= 63 u.

Molar mass:  The molar mass of an element is equal to the numerical value of the atomic mass. However, in case of molar mass, the units change from ‘u’ to ‘g’. The molar mass of an atom is also known as gram atomic mass.
For example, the atomic mass of carbon =12 atomic mass units. So, the gram atomic mass of carbon = 12 grams

Atomic mass of oxygen is 16.

The average atomic mass of oxygen is 15.9994 atomic mass units. However, this atomic mass is the average atomic mass of all the isotopes in nature. That being said, the most common isotope is the first one. So, when most of us refer to oxygen it is the oxygen with 8 neutrons
