Decapacitation factor (DF), a constituent of the male reproductive tract, reverses the process of capacitation and renders spermatozoa incapable of fertilization. Decapacitated sperm can regain their capacity to fertilize if placed in the female tract. Capacitation sperm may include the removal of excess DF from sperm by retention of seminal plasma in the vagina, removal of DF from sperm in the uterus by activation of corona penetrating enzyme (CPE), activation of trypsin-like enzyme (TLE) by removal of the TLE inhibitor, labilization of the acrosome in the uterus or vesiculation of the plasma and outer acrosomal membranes, and removal of neuraminidase inhibitor from the acrosomal neuraminidase

Sperm :- Male reproductive cell

Explanation:

Sperm undergoes series of physical, chemical and biological changes. these changes are capacitation, recapacitating and decapacitation of sperm.

1. Capacitation:- this is the change that occurs in sperm in the fallopian tube of female reproductive organ (ovary).

2. Recapacitating:-  this is define as the changes that occurs after the capacitation which sometimes lead to disability of sperm to fertilise.

3. Decapacitation:- this is define as the activity of seminal epidydimal fluid which initiates the ability of sperm to fertilise.
