The compound which contain ionic bond are called ionic compound. They have high melting and boiling point. They are usually cryatalline solids. They are soluble in water and insoluble in organic solvent.
The compound which contain covalent bond are called covalent compound. They have low melting and boiling point. They are usually liquid or gas some of them are solids. They are soluble in organic solvent and insoluble in water.
