Diffusion is molecular migration caused by molecular bombardmend and, if applicable, by density differences. It describes an action.

Dissolution is a description of state of a system in which there is no order or separation of the constituents. It's not an action but a state.

DIFFUSION:
Diffusion is the process in which molecules or the atoms of two different matter gets mixed uniformly with the passage of time.

DISSOLUTION:
Dissolution is the process in which simply different mixtures get mixed not the atoms or molecules.
