Ionically bonded substance act as electrolytes but covalently bonded compounds in which no ions are present are commonly nonelectrolyte tablesugar ,or sucrose is a good example of non electrolyte.

the liquid conduct electricity by producing ions and hence undergoes chemical change is known as electrolyte for example solutions of acid bases, aqua solution of common salt, copper sulphate solution.

the liquid which do not conduct electricity and doesn't undergoes a chemical change is called a non-electrolyte . for eg- vinegar , citric acid .
