what is difference between ethanol and ethanoic acid

the formula of ethanol is CH3CH2OH i.e it contains OH group
whereas formula of ethanoic acid is CH3CH2COOH i.e it contains carobxyl group....

Ethanol has a sweet odour while
Ethanoic acid has a pungent odour
Ethanol does not react with sodium bicarbonate ( NaHCO3) but ethanoic acid react with sodium bicarbonate ( NaHCO3 ) releasing CO2 gas.
Ethanol does not change the colour of blue litmus paper while Ethanoic acid the colour of blue litmus paper
