Evergreen forests

(1) Tropical rain forests are confined to tropical reigons where there is rainfall throughout the year.

(2) These forests are known as evergreen forests because all the trees don't shed their leaves together.

(3) The trees reach upto 60 metres.

(4) The main trees of these forests are rosewood, rubber, palm, etc.

(5) The animals found in Indian rain forests are Elephant, Lemur, etc.


Deciduous forests

(1) Tropical deciduous forests are found in the monsoon area of world where rainfall occurs in summer.

(2) These forests are known as monsoon forests and generally all the trees shed their leaves during dry season.

(3) The trees reach upto 30 - 40 metres.

(4) The main trees of these forests are teak, shisham, etc.

(5) The animals found in Indian Deciduous forests are Lion, Tiger, etc.
