what is difference between except and accept

expect is the preposition which means "but" or "leaving out"
accept means "to take" or " to receive"
for ex:- everyone should be taken except him

1.except -excluding something. for example. "Everyone is allowed except Rani". In this sentence excluding Rani everyone are allowed.
2. accept -to receive something or someone in a pleased way.
For example. Jhansi accepted my invitation. In this sentence Jhansi was happy in receiving the invitation.
