WHAT IS DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GEOCENTRIC AND HELIOCENTRIC THEORY OF EARTH IN POINTS

The Geocentric Theory states that the Earth is the center of the solar system and​ the Sun revolved around the Earth.

On the other hand

The Heliocentric Theory states that the Sun is the center of the solar system and the Earth revolved around it.

Difference between Geocentric and Heliocentric theory of earth is :-

Geocentric Theory- 1) In this theory we assume that earth is center sun      revolves around the earth.

2)The geocentric model was devised by Ptolemy, a Greek philosopher

3)Ptolemy's model illustrated that the Earth was stationary and that the Sun

4)Ptolemaic geocentric model was widely accepted until the heliocentric model emerged in the 1500s.

Heliocentric theory :-1)the heliocentric model suggested that the sun was the center of the universe

2)Nicolaus Copernicus was a Polish cleric who said that  the Ptolemaic model  is wrong by proposing the heliocentric model.

3)Copernicus argued that the Sun was motionless and that all planets, including Earth, revolved around it

4)the Copernican theory garnered support from Galileo and was later proven by Johannes Kepler
