the ans is The biggest difference between the two is only used within the type of electrolyte , a lithium -ion battery is a liquid electrolyte , and lithium ion polymer batteries instead places the solid polymer electrolyte , the polymer may be a solid, can be is a semi-solid ( gel ) . In the current battery market, Li-ion is the same as Li-Po (or is also called Li-Poly or Li-Polymer or pouch cells); only the packaging material and shapes are different. In smartphones, flat pouch Li-ion cells are used, because it can be made the thinnest.
