minerals are the form of metals by which metals can be extracted profitability

ores are the mixture of minerals and some other constituents such as dust and mud etc.

The main difference is that from we can get the minerals profitably and mineral is nothing but an abundent element that is present in earth's crust and in other deposits as ore and lodes .
