Parallel vectors are vectorswhich have same or parallelsupport. They can have equal or unequal magnitudes and their directions may be same or opposite. Two vectors arecollinear if they have the same direction or are parallel or anti-parallel.

Difference between parallel vectors and collinear vectors
Parallel Vectors
- Those vectors which act along the same or different lines are termed as parallel vectors.
- Such vectors posses equal magnitude or either unequal magnitude and all parallel vectors can travel either in same direction or opposite direction.
Collinear Vectors
- If two vectors which act along same lines or parallel lines then they are termed as collinear vectors.
- Collinear vectors are always directed towards in the same direction.
