Resistance is the opposition to an electric current flowing through a circuit.

Resistivity is the unit resistance of a unit material.

• resistance is an extrinsic property of a conductor whereas resistivity is an intrinsic property of a conductor.

•  resistivity of a conductor is always same and is independent upon its length or size whereas rsistance is not always same
