Difference between ribosomes and lysosomes:
Ribosomes
- It is a membrane bound cell organelle.
- Size: 20-30 nm
- It is segmented into two sub units.
- It is involved in protein synthesis.
- It is called “Protein factory” of the cell.
Lysosomes
- It is a non-membrane bound cell organelle.
- Size: 0.1-1.2 μm
- It is one single organelle. No sub units are present.
- It is involved in intracellular digestion.
- It is called “suicidal bag “ of the cell.
