Lets differentiate size and shape with the help of an imaginary notebook. Now, imagine you have a notebook right in front of you. The shape of the notebook is rectangle. So, shape is the appearance, the figure or what form it has. Is it a triangle (3 sides), a square (4 equal sides), a rectangle (4 sides), etc…

Size is the measurement (or the dimensions). Since the shape of the notebook is rectangle, the size can be specified by the length and breadth. Lets say, the size of the notebook is 20cm x 15cm. This means that the length is 20cm and the breadth is 15cm.
