Consider 4 elements A,B,C,D.
In displacement reaction - AB + C = AC +B ( C displaces B and forms a compound with A)
In double displacement reaction - AB + CD = AC + BD ( In this C replaces B and forms compound with A and B forms compound with D)
Hope it helps please mark as the brainliest.

In a displacement reaction only one single element displaces the element of another compound
Ex-:Na+Hcl-:Nacl+h2
In a double displacement reaction element of one compound displaces element of another compound
Ex-:Na2so4+Bacl2-:Nacl+Baso4
