what is different between miosis and meosis

meenakshi997sa: ..
meenakshi997sa: mitosis: equational division because the no. of chromosomes remains the same... meiosis: reductional division as no. of chromosomes is reduced to half
meenakshi997sa: mitosis- 1cell forms 2 diploid daughter cells .... meiosis- 1 cell forms 4 haploid cells
meenakshi997sa: mitosis- in somatic cells and undifferentiated germ cells... meiosis- in germ cells only

mitosis and meiosis. Mitosis consists of one stage whereas meiosis consists of two stages. Mitosis produces diploid cells (46 chromosomes) whereas meiosis produces haploid cells

here is your answer.
.
Meiosis has two rounds of genetic separation and cellular division whilemitosis only has one of each. Inmeiosis homologous chromosomes separate leading to daughter cells that are not genetically identical. In mitosisthe daughter cells are identical to the parent as well as to each other.
