self pollination is the transfer of pollen from anther to stigma of the same flower while cross pollination is the transfer of pollen grains from anther of one flower to the stigma of another flower of the same species
2. In self pollination no wastage of pollen grains while in cross pollination liya of wastage of pollen grains
3. they need no scent or sector to attract insect. while cross pollination plants need to produce scent or sector to attract insect
4. do not need external agency to transfer pollen grains , while cross pollination need external agency like insects for pollination
