Tanks are constructed and rainwater is stored for later use mainly agriculture.Underground water is tapped for drinking and irrigation purpose. It is a artificial method of storing water.

• Tank irrigation is done in the areas where underground water level is low.
• It is built in the areas where digging well is difficult due to hard rocks.
Tube Wells →
• It is built in the areas where the underground water level is high.
• It is built in soft rock areas.
