As BF3 is a Lewis acid and NH3 is a Lewis base, NH3 donates its lone pair to BH3 and forms a dipolar bond. NH3 gets a positive formal charge and BH3 gets a negative formal charge and adduct is formed.

BF3 is trigonal planar because it has 3 bonds and no lone pairs of electrons
.NH3 has three bonds and one lone pair of electrons and is trigonal pyramidal.
BF3 is a molecule in the trigonal planar shape. It has a central boron atom that is surrounded on three sides by three fluorine atoms.

BF3 and NH3nameis Boron trifluoride.

NH3 not trigonal planer. It is pyramidal in shape
