Diffusion is the process of movement of particles from a region of low concentration (for example, distilled water) to a region of high concentration (for example, honey syrup) through a semi-permiable membrane which has micro-pores, allowing only liquid to go through which has smaller-in-size molecules than the pores and not bigger solute particles.
Plants gain nutrients and water by soil, through xylem and phloem, where diffusion takes place. By diffusion, water and nutrients enter into the roots of the plants.
The Excretory System in humans collects the waste material from blood (which occurs through diffusion) and sends it to the urinary bladder by the help of nephrons.
