Explanation:

1. the process of changing food in your stomach so that it can be used by the body is called digestion..

Digestion is important because your body needs nutrients from food and drink to work properly and stay healthy. Proteins, fats, carbohydrates, vitamins link, minerals link, and water are nutrients.

2.Salivary gland-The salivary glands of adult Calliphora contain enzymes which hydrolyze starch, sucrose and trehalose. Amylase and sucrase are shown to be secretory enzymes, while trehalase remains in the gland.

b.One important component of gastric juice is pepsin. Pepsin is the chief digestive enzyme in the stomach that breaks down proteins. We see that chief cells produce pepsinogen (an inactive form of pepsin).

c.The pancreas contains exocrine glands that produce enzymes important to digestion. These enzymes include trypsin and chymotrypsin to digest proteins; amylase for the digestion of carbohydrates; and lipase to break down fats.

d.There are several enzymes in the liver, including alanine transaminase (ALT), aspartate transaminase (AST), alkaline phosphatase (ALP), and gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT). Elevated liver enzymes, found with a blood test, indicate inflamed or injured liver cells.

hope this will help you
