Direct and indirect speech is a very important topic in grammar .
Direct speech refers to any sentence ,speech spoken by a person directly.
#for ex. Rohan said," I will do my homework tomorrow."
Indirect speech refers to the representing of the speech of the first person by the third person or the second person to someone else.
#For ex. Rohan said that he would do his work the next day.

Direct speech- Saying exactly what someone has said is called direct speech.Here what a person says appears within quotation marks.
For eg - She said,"Todays lesson is on presentation".

Indirect speech-It diesnot use quotation marks to enclose what a person said and it doesnot have to be word for word.
For eg - He said he was going to cinema

There are some rules to change tenses
