it's a vector quantity..
depende on direction.

☆ It is the total length travelled by the body.

☆ It doesn't need to depend on starting point and ending points because it depends on the length it travels.

NOW DISPALCEMENT

☆It is the shortest distance.

☆It is vector quantity since it includes direction.

☆It depends on the starting and ending points.
