DISPLACEMENT REACTION-
it is a chemical reaction which takes place when an element (or a radical) has replaced another element in a compound.
the ability of an element to displace another element is determined by its relative position in the electrochemical series.

A reaction where one element displaces the other during the course of reaction is known as displacement reaction.
Pb+Cu2Cl2→PbCl2+Cu.
Pb+Cu2Cl2→PbCl2+Cu.
