Displacement reaction is a reaction in which more reactive element replaces the less reactive element.

example: Reaction of iron nails with copper sulphate solution..

⭕️Displacement reactions are the reactions in which a highly reactive metal displaces a less reactive metal from its compound in aqueous solution.

✔️✔️For example:

⭕️When zinc granules are placed in Copper Sulphate Solution, the blue color of CuSO4 disappears and a powdery mass of ⭕️copper is deposited at the bottom of the beaker.

➖CuSO4 (blue) + Zn → ZnSO4+ Cu (red)

⭕️Zinc is highly reactive when compared to copper.

⭕️So Zinc displaces copper from Copper Sulphate solution.
