Hi!
The process of separating the component substances from liquid mixture is known as distillation.
Fractional Distillation:
The process who has different boiling points after the separation of chemical mixture is known as fractional distillation. In this process, the mixture is boiled in a round flask, where vapors of the boiling solution pass along the column in fractions. At the top, the temperature is the coolest and at the bottom, it increases down. Then the components with higher boiling points reduce on the column when it turns to the solution. On the other hand, the components with lower boiling points further pass and are collected. This process is used for separating mixtures like, water, curd oil etc.
