Distributed Control System (DCS) consists of one or more controllers used to implement advanced process control techniques. Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems cannot carry out advanced process control techniques. I mean that , DCS systems are using sharing database between Controller and Scada.

Acronym for supervisory control and data acquisition, a computer system for gathering and analyzing real time data. SCADA systems are used to monitor and control a plant or equipment in industries such as telecommunications, water and waste control, energy, oil and gas refining and transportation.
