Explanation:

To “distribute” means to divide something or give a share or part of something. According to the distributive property, multiplying the sum of two or more addends by a number will give the same result as multiplying each addend individually by the number and then adding the products together.

Answer: The distributive property is basically a quick method of multiplying stuff inside the brackets. E.g. lets say you have a(b + c). Well, one way to do it is adding b and c together and then multyplying by a. E.g. if b was 1 and c was 2, and a was 3, then answer then would be 3 (1 + 2) = 3 (3) = 9.

This is not the distributive property. The distributive is is multiplying a with b and c. E.g. a times b and a times c. That is a(b + c) = a*b + a*c = ab + ac

Using the same example as above, this property would act as :

3 (1 + 2) = 3 *1 + 3*2 = 3 + 6 = 9

That is the distributive property.

It is one of the easiest method for multiplication!
