We often say Unity in Diversity but What is the meaning of unity and diversity?

Diversity means 'Different kinds of' And unity means "all together"

So We often say India as Unity in Diversity meaning India has different religions,culture,society but after all we are all Indians.

Diversity includes about anything which has same but many kinds>>>

Religions>>

Religions say us to believe in God the almighty, But there are different religions Hinduism,Islam,Christianity,Buddhism, Jainism,Sikhism,etc.

Culture>>>

India has its own Indian culture. It too has Western culture of different parts  of the world.

Food>>>

You would be seeing the same lunch at Rajasthan will be Dal-baati-churma and You would be seeing the food in Gujarat will be Dhokla! Different food different style.

Festival>>>

You would be seeing the festival of Makar Sankaranti celebrated in Tamil Nadu as Pongal and In Punjab as Lohdi.

This all leads to the diversity of India!

diversity means understanding that each individual is unique and also recognising our individual differences. The difference can be in race,gender , sexual orientation,age, physical abilities, religious beliefs and other ideologies.
