DNA fingerprinting=> it is a method used to identify an individual from a sample of DNA by looking at unique patterns in their DNA.
its uses are:-
DNA Fingerprinting involves identifying differences in some specific regions in DNA called as Repetitive DNA, because in these sequences a small stretch of DNA is repeated many times. These sequences are separated from bulk genomic DNA as different peaks are generated during density gradient centrifugation( major peak for bulk DNA and small peak for satellite DNA )
Satellite DNA normally don't code for any protiens, but form large part of the human genome. These sequences show high degree of polymorphism on which DNA Fingerprinting works because polymorphisms are inheritable from parents to children( basis of paternity testing). And also in forensic science.

Rambo28:
1.Technique to establish the identity of person by taking in to consideration of sequence of nucleotide Present in DNA is called as DNA fingerprinting. 2.Its main use is in forensic sciences to confirm the identity of a criminal. 3. Similarly, identity of parents in the case of disputed parentage for any child can be understood by taking DNA fingerprints of both the parents and a child.

✔✔DNA fingerprinting is a laboratory technique used to establish a link between biological evidence and a suspect in a criminal investigation. A DNA sample taken from a crime scene is compared with a DNA sample from a suspect. If the two DNA profiles are a match, then the evidence came from that suspect. Conversely, if the two DNA profiles do not match, then the evidence cannot have come from the suspect. DNA fingerprinting is also used to establish paternity.✔✔
