Hi friend,
Dobereiner's law of triads states that when elements having similar properties are placed in increasing order of atomic weights in group of three, then atomic weight of middle element is arithmetic mean of other two elements.
Example: Calcium,Strontium,Barium
Chlorine,Bromine,Iodine.

atomic weight of the middle element is nearly the same as arithmetic mean of the atomic weights of other two elements when the elements are placed in such a way that their physical properties are similar .
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
example :- lithium , sodium , potassium
6.9 + 39.1/ 2 = 23
23 is the atomic weight of sodium
his law was not applicable to all the elements which was one of his draw back and it cannot be applied to higher elements and very few elements were discovered at that time so his theory failed
