What is a domain:
A domain is a part of URL which contains millions of Internet protocol adresses. Mostly the domains of the URL conatin the name of the authority.Domain names can only be formed with the official permission of the DNS.

Sub domain:
Sub domains are smaller parts of the domain. They are used to differentiate the different modes of domains.
Given below is an example of sub domains for the domain mentioned above:
For google .com,
WWW.google.com, downloads.google.com,.....etc. are the sub domains
They help in easy identification of any website and they are also helpful in findding other features of the compnay using sub domains
