Formula of Double Bond Equivalent (DBE) is = ∑n(v-2)/2+1
n=number of atom
v=valency of atom
EXAMPLE- C3H6O
DBE=3(4-2)+6(1-2)+1(2-2)/2+1
=0+1
=1
