The circulation in which the blood flows through the heart twice, in one complete cycle of blood, is called double circulation.
For double circulation completely four chambers are required
The deoxygenated blood of whole body reaches in right atrium, from here it is sent to right ventricle.
The right ventricle pumps this impure blood to lungs for purification.
Pure blood from lungs comes to left atrium of heart, which sends it to left ventricle
The ventricle pumps the pure blood to all parts of the body , therefore in one complete cycle of blood, the blood passes through heart twice.
