What is double circulation of blood necessary in human beings?

The blood flows from the heart throughout the body and then back to the heart.

Blood moving away from the heart to other parts of the body is oxygenated blood. This blood contains oxygen carried by hemoglobin. Now when it is transported to other parts of the body, these cells, tissues, organs make use of the oxygen and the blood gets deoxygenated. This deoxygenated blood returns to the heart to get oxygenated again.

The general inportance of double circulation is to get deoxygenated blood oxygenated and reused.
