Double circulation :

The process of circulation that involves blood passing through the heart twice to complete one cycle is known as Double circulation.

To understand this, Let's see more :

The Deoxygenated blood collected by veins enters the Right atrium, and They contract to send the blood into Right ventricle, and from there into lungs through pulmonary artery.

In lungs, it's oxygenated. It enters the heart once again through pulmonary Vein. This oxygenated blood first enters left atrium, and then left ventricle and then to all parts of the body.

The reason why Humans have Double circulation can be explained by taking in reference with the single circulation animals.

In aquatic animals, The Deoxygenated blood enters the Heart, and then Gills. Gills plays the role of lungs in a way. And from there, Oxygenated blood flows through the body.

1.The primary function of the heart is to provide the pressure for the flow of the blood.

2.If single circulation is chosen in Humans, then blood can't be given the amount of pressure required to flow.

3.So, In double circulation, The oxygenated blood is pumped again with the amount of pressure required.

4.Also, Energy requirements and Size of the body, and the extent of blood flow is large for Human beings

5.To be able to meet all these requirements, Double circulation is necessary in human beings.
