The fertilization in the angiosperms plants involves the phenomenon of fertilization of the egg with 1 male gamete to from a diploid zygote while other male gamete fuses with the diploid secondary nucleus resulting in the formation of triploid primary Endosperm Nucleus. This is called double fertilization.
Second male gamete from pollen tube fuses with secondary nucleus to form primary endosperm nucleus (3n) .This is called triple fusion.
