double fertilization is a complex fertilization mechanism of flowering plants (angiosperms).
This process involves the joining of female gametophyte gamets with two male gametes (sperm).

Answer:
(1) In angiosperms, pollen tube carries two mon-moule male garnetes.
(2) Pollen tube enters the embryo sac in synergids and the contents are relased.
(3) Out ot the two male gametes produced by the male gametophyte, one unites with female gamete i.e syngamy and the other with the secondary nucleus i.e. triple fusion.
(4) Since both male gametes take part in fertilization which takes place twice, it is called double fertilization.
